What Can I Do If I Bought Something Fake or Poor Quality?

If your purchase isn’t what you expected, or you think it might be counterfeit, here’s how to take action.

Speak to the Seller First

Your first step should always be to contact the company you bought the item from. Whether it’s poor quality, damaged, or doesn’t match the description, most businesses will try to make it right with a refund, replacement, or repair. This is usually the fastest way to resolve the issue.

Can’t Reach a Resolution? Raise a Dispute

If the seller won’t help, you can raise a dispute from within your account.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Go to your Yeeld app
  2. Tap ‘Accounts’
  3. Select the transaction in question
  4. Tap ‘Dispute Transaction’
  5. Choose the option: “Problem with the goods or service I purchased”

We’ll ask you a few questions and collect details to understand the situation.

A Few Things to Keep in Mind

  • You may need to upload supporting evidence — for example, proof of purchase, photos, or screenshots of your conversations with the seller.
  • When you raise a dispute, we’ll do our best to recover your money, but we can’t guarantee it. We’ll assess your case fairly using the information you provide.
  • Disputes must be raised between 15 and 120 days from:
    • The date the transaction settled
    • Or the date the item was delivered or cancelled

If it’s been longer than 120 days, you can still raise a dispute — we’ll review your case to see how we can help.

Still unsure? Reach out via the Help section in the app and our team will be happy to support you.
